Back then, foreign women could forgo the <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hijab" target="_blank">hijab</a><i> and the <i><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niq%C4%81b" target="_blank">niqab</a></i>. From what I hear, things have gotten more strict since then.
